京都大学総合 博物館での標本管理業務
京都大学総合博物館で私はは動物学標本（魚類と昆虫をのぞく）の標本管理業務を担当しています．京都大学の各部局から総合博物館に移された標本の整理・登 録を順 次，進めている．研究目的での標本の閲覧は事前にメールでご連絡いただき，こちらからの返答を確認してからお越しください．出張などで対応できないことも あり ますので，連絡はできるだけ早めにお願いします．
研究内容「東アジアにおける哺乳類の系統分類学的研究」
東アジア島嶼域には多くの固有哺乳類が生息している．私はこうした哺乳類の系統分類学や その起源や動物地理学に主たる興味をもち研究活動を行っている．研 究は国内外の博物館などに収蔵されている標本を用いることはもちろんであるが，十分な標本蓄積が行われていない分類群も多 く，これらについては自らの採集もおこなっている．京都大学理学研究科動物系統学研究室所属の大学院 生の研究指導を行っている．大学院生の研究は，現在は，哺乳 類の系統分類学に関連した研究である．
